The adolescence process is a challenging developmental period in which the teenager struggles both physically and spiritually with himself and the world he is in. The factors that the teenage have to cope with increase compared to the childhood period. Even if these factors are not related to the environment of the client, they may be related to his/her body and inner world.

In psychotherapy with teenages, after the sessions of the recognition and evaluation with the client and caregiver(s) of the client, the issues that the teenage needs to develop are determined by the caregiver(s) of the client and the teenage. Afterwards, it is ensured that the client can benefit from the psychotherapy process in the most effective way with the appropriate approach from psychotherapy methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR based on the problem area.
